Hi! I’m so glad you’re here.

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker in private practice in Birmingham, Alabama. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in social work from the University of Montevallo and my Master of Social Work degree from Samford University. I spent the last several years at Prescott House Child Advocacy Center as the supervising therapist where I partnered with individuals and families who were impacted by trauma.

I specialize in treating childhood trauma (sexual abuse, physical abuse, maltreatment and neglect), anxiety, stress-management, trauma-related struggles, and attachment disturbances. I am certified in TraumaPlay, a developmentally sensitive play-based treatment curriculum, and I am trained in utilizing Theraplay Level 1 techniques, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR.

I enjoy working from a client-centered approach, creating a unique and safe space where kids and adults feel comfortable as they move forward in the healing process. I consider it a joy and honor to partner with families and individuals as they recapture the joy stolen from trauma and challenging life events.
